WordPress is completely customizable and can be used for almost anything. There is also a service called WordPress.com which lets you get started with a new and free WordPress-based blog in seconds, but varies in several ways and is less flexible than the WordPress you download and install yourself.

WordPress was born out of a desire for an elegant, well-architectured personal publishing system built on PHP and MySQL and licensed under the GPL. It is the official successor of b2/catelog. WordPress is fresh software, but its roots and development go back to 2001. It is a mature and stable product. Thesis

I (Chris Pearson) built the Thesis Theme because I wanted a framework that had it all—killer typography, a dynamically resizable layout, intelligent code, airtight optimization, and tons of flexibility. Now, after months of field testing, I’m confident enough to offer it to those of you who have come to expect nothing but the finest themes from me.

Oh, and I suppose there’s one more organizational detail that I ought to mention. You see, when you purchase a theme from DIYthemes, you are essentially getting a lifetime subscription to that theme. This means that you’ll be able to login at any time and download an updated version of the theme—it’s how you’ll keep your Website up-to-date and on the digital edge. Thesis

Price

The price for the Create and Configure service is $60. For $60 you will receive:

• · Hosting service purchase, setup, and Cpanel configuration
• · WordPress and Thesis installation
• · Access to reliable and fast Thesis Support via: DIYforums

The $60 covers the $40 for the theme as well as an initial $10 startup fee for both. You will be responsible for the monthly hosting fee ($10) and annual Domain Name Re-purchasing fee ($10). Within this deal you have everything needed to get you blog off the ground. It will be very hard to find another deal as cheap this around
