Credit cards, those things are truly a gift and a curse. Unless you are very careful credit cards can get out of control and immerse yourself in serious debt without you even realizing it. I was lucky and able to catch my debt before it spiraled out of control but unfortunately others are not as fortunate. If you have extreme debt, then it may be wise for you to look into credit card consolidation. It may be your fastest way to get your credit back under control.

If you are not in extreme debt they you need to do your best to keep it that way. Whether you like it or not your credit score is important it today’s society. Ideally we could pay with everything in cash. But that of course would be a perfect world and that utopian society is far from coming into existence. So in the meantime you need to figure out a way to manage your debt and control your credit cards.

Credit cards can be used for good if used wisely. I like to take advantage of card discounts or rewards features that you get from spending with them. Yet, I only use the card when I have enough to cover that purchase at that very moment. I have been known to open a card just to get the 15% discount, then immediately pay off that transaction after I have purchase the product. This way I can save my money on something I was going to by anyway.

Just be careful with your credit cards because they will put you on a fast track to debt and stress if not kept in check.
