For some reason, I have always been somewhat nervous about upgrading my sites theme. Currently I am running Thesis 1.5 beta and they are now onto Thesis 1.6. My rationale behind postponing upgrading in the past was because I never felt that it would really be worth it. Just a few changes here and there with maybe a few bugs knocked out as well. But yesterday while logged into my Thesis account, I took some time to check out Thesis 1.6 and WOW!
This version from what I have seen so far is just what I have been looking for. Things that I would normally have to hard code in such as changing nav bar colors and removing borders are standard inside the design option. That is really one headache I will no longer have to deal with. Other things seem to be easier as well but I will just wait to go over all of them after I finish the upgrade.
So tomorrow I have set aside to upgrade all my sites to Thesis 1.6. I made sure to do it on a day where I can focus and do things right the first time. Because if I screw up and crash my site I will be highly upset with myself. After I finish everything on all the sites, I will right a review to post on Monday to let you know how the process went. Hopefully it will be smooth and painless. Wish me luck!
